SYNOPSIS

While on holiday, the wife of Stephane Monnereau, chief of the Parisian criminal investigation police, vanishes. Ironically, all the evidence seems to indicate that the husband himself might be involved in her disappearance. In order to avoid being held in custody M. Monnereau flees with his son. From that moment on his sole purpose is to prove his innocence and to solve the mystery of his wife’s disappearance.

The title of the movie R.I.F. refers to the form that has to be filled out before launching an investigation for a missing adult. This particular form differs somewhat from one that has to be filled out for a minor, since someone over 18 actually has the legal right to “ go missing” without notifying his family.

Sur la route des vacances, la femme de Stéphane Monnereau, capitaine de police à la P.J. parisienne, disparaît. Les indices semblent indiquer qu’il n’est peut-être pas étranger à cette disparition. Pour éviter d’être placé en garde-à-vue, Stéphane prend la fuite avec son fils. Désormais il devra assumer seul sa double mission : se disculper aux yeux des enquêteurs et savoir ce qui est vraiment arrivé à sa femme.

Le titre R.I.F. (Recherches dans l’Intérêt des Familles) fait référence au formulaire à remplir pour lancer une procédure de recherche d’une personne majeure disparue. En effet, celle-ci diffère quelque peu de celle à suivre pour les mineurs, un individu de plus de dix-huit ans ayant légalement le droit de disparaître sans en avertir sa famille.

BIOGRAPHY

Incarnant Laura dans le premier film de Christopher Thompson, Elisa Sednaoui, dont le visage envoûtant et la plastique longiligne avaient déjà fait sensation en 2007 sur les publicités d’H&M, semble suivre le chemin de ces rares modèles qui ont su conjuguer avec talent mannequinat et cinéma.
Regard félin, Elisa Sednaoui possède cette beauté charismatique. Rien d’étonnant donc à ce que Christopher Thompson, qui recherchait alors une jeune femme capable de faire tourner la tête de deux garçons à la fois, considéra Elisa comme une évidence.

Si “Bus Palladium” est le film qui permettra à chacun de juger des talents d’actrice d’Elisa, il ne s’agit pas pour autant de la première expérience de la jeune femme devant la caméra. Elle joua en effet dans le court métrage “La Baie du renard” ainsi que dans “Not Before, Not After”, un film indépendant présenté à Berlin. 

Mannequin, actrice, globe-trotteuse, à 24 ans Elisa Sednaoui affiche déjà un curriculum vitae pour le moins intrigant.
Dès son enfance, Elisa, fille d’un architecte vivant en Égypte baigne dans une atmosphère cosmopolite. Ses parents, privilégiant son ouverture sur le monde, lui apprennent rapidement plusieurs langues. Cependant, le divorce de ces derniers amène l’adolescente à partir vivre en France avec sa mère. Née en Italie, ayant grandi à Luxor puis en Europe, Elisa attrape très jeune le virus du voyage.
Précocement polyglotte et habituée à s’adapter à des environnements différents, c’est sans difficulté qu’elle quitte la France pour New York, véritable Eldorado pour les mannequins en devenir. Elle a alors 16 ans.
En 2007, elle signe ainsi avec l’agence One Model Management et apparaît peu après dans la campagne de publicité H&M. Par la suite, sa silhouette lui permettra d’intégrer la dream team de Victoria’s Secret, de défiler pour D&G,et de signer pour la campagne Love de Moschino et le parfum Fuel de Diesel. Elle figurera également dans les grands éditos: Marie-Claire Italien, Vogue Allemand….
Aujourd’hui, si Elisa Sednaoui peut se vanter d’être actuellement courtisée par Chanel, cela ne l’empêche pas de rêver à une carrière multiple. Elle révèle en effet que dans un monde idéal, elle embrasserait aussi bien la carrière de mannequin que celle d’actrice, de metteur en scène ou de photographe…
